Hearts!

We did a lot of work today! The kids are able to work for 3 hours now. They do have two, ten minute breaks and a snack. It is working out very well!
* We are continuing to work on color words and colors. I made sheets appropriate for each child. They also worked on finding matches.
* We read Elmo's Fuzzy Valentine and then made a tear art heart.
* I'm focusing on SC's first name and the other three are working on learning to spell their last names. We talked about the way our names should look and then practiced finding the correct name on the poster.
* We read, The Queen of Hearts and discussed the word tart and what the knave did wrong. They had to color and cut and count the number of tarts they wanted to put on their paper.
* They did some crayon rubbings for fun.
* We read, I love you Stinky Face and talked about how much the mommy loved her son. Then they each painted a half of a paper and had to guess what the picture would be once it was pressed together. We talked about how hearts mean love.
* We practiced counting and made a little number bug.
